When I connect my Nokia 5800 to PC with USB cable and try to send/recieve any data to/from it, the connection fails after 5-10s. All software form Nokia is affected. The latest PC Suite, Ovi Suite, drivers etc. are installed. With Bluetooth connection everithing is more or less OK but from time to time the phone asks for confirmarion to allow access from PC despite the connection is already established. Looks like the problem with Connectivity Cable Driver 7.0.2.1

I have recently had a replacement handset of a Xperia X10 which replaces my Vivaz. Before the handset was given back, I backed up my phone with all contact, calendar entries etc via the sony ericsson PC suite, now I want to restore this backup to the X10, the PC Suite doesn t recognise the phone. I have to now use the PC companion which doesn t help me much in restoring this backup.

After installing the latest version of PC suite 7.1 on my PC, the application doesn t recognize when my phone is connected in PC suite connection mode, although when it is connected in USB mass storage mode the windows recognize it. The message that appears on the screen is :
Ovi Suite/PC Suite does not recognize the connected phone.Ovi Suite/Pc Suite cannot read the required information from the phone.Check that the connected phone is supported by Ovi Suite/PC Suite.
After searching the forum I found a similar topic for other phones, but although I tried what they suggested: completely uninstalling any nokia software from my PC including PC connection wizard etc and after reinstalling PC Suite AND Ovi Suite latest versions both, the problem still remains. Therefore is there any solution for this or at least where can I find an older version of PC suite to install it.

I have Sony Vaio VGN-UX280P and I ve been having problems downloading and installing drivers. Some of the drivers work, some of them don t. It s a micro PC and has 2 built in cameras. I tried installing and reinstalling drivers. The one in the back that would make the computer work as a camera to point at someone and be able to take a picture with the capture button. But for some reason only the one in the front works. And the Vaio Camera Utility won t even load although the capture utility will. I was installing Sony Ericsson PC Suite on my p.c, and I had my W850i connected to the p.c at the time. Pc Suite told me to disconnect any sony phones from the computer before continuing. I have successfully installed my 5800 in Windows XP with the drivers. inf file from the Nokia website. However it does not work in Windows Vista latest service packs etc installed. I have 3 bluetooth modem device listed in Device Manager without drivers when this phone is trying to install and PC suite although it can see the phone says it need authorizing, which I have already done, very confusing, I assume it is the drivers causing this issue.There are no other BT devices in use.

I used PC Suite latest version with a bluetooth connection between a Nokia 6310i and a Compaq nx8220 laptop computer. No problem at all. Than I bought a Nokia 6303 Classic and tried to connect to the laptop. The PC Suite software does not recognize the 6303. The same problem with OVI Suite, which works with the 6310i. Previously I used Windows Vista with my Sony Vaio Laptop without any issues. However Sony sent me some Windows 7 Upgrade Discs and of course I upgraded without looking into issues as I was sure that Nokia Software would be 7 Compatible, guessing i was wrong. Neither of the 2 applications can connect with my Phone since upgrading to Windows 7.
Both just sit there on the Connectivity Screen and eventually inform me that they cannot connect to the device or no device present. Inside my Device Manager i have several errors which are obviously causing my error. The following Names are displayed as NOT INSTALLED.
I ve removed and re-installed both Ovi Suite and PC Suite and still the drivers dont appear. I ve tried to remove and reinstall the devices via Device Manager, but Windows still reports the devices as NO Drivers. Where can i get these drivers from so PC Suite / Ovi can connect to my Device. Nokia Ovi Player works and transfers music with no problems, so the Cable is fine

The W890i has a lot of things going for it updated platform, HSDPA and EDGE connectivity, lightning fast interface and speedy3D applications. More importantly, not only does it trump its predecessor on these fronts, it also holds the upper hand against other A200-powered solutions that debuted earlier.

Judging from the sales of the Sony Ericsson W880i, Nokia 6500 Classic, this price tag is quite adequate, so consumers will happily go for it. really i was going to buy it but now i am not because of its low speaker performance. dont be fooled by the design its the specification that count. Nokia :: 5800 USB Connection Problems
I am having some problems connecting my 5800 with my computer via USB. I have the Ovi suite and Nokia PC suite installed on my computer. The computer is running windows 7.
I can establish a connection over Bluetooth, but when try to connect over the USB the phone just wont be found. Windows 7 installed the drivers for the phone, the USB connection says that the phone is in PC suite mode and I can access the phones memory though windows explorer. The only way Ovi or PC suite will recognise my phone is if I put it into mass storage mode, but when I do this they connect and then 5 seconds or so later the phone sets itself back to PC suite mode and the connection is lost.
The phone is less than a week old, all the software I am using is up to date and the cable is an official Nokia cable.Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are options to load the drive from a place where I know it is I don t, let Windows find a solution up till now it couldn t or ignore, which is what I have done.I guess because of this I can t access the N80 as a modem, or Com port.Today I bothered to search again, and Windows advised me to install the latest version of PC Suite.

I got myself a 5800 and installed the latest version of PC Suite 7.1.26.1 and it finds the phone and what not. What doesn t work thou is the usb modem. In the device manager windows states that Nokia 5800 XpressMusic USB Modem and CDC Comms Interface isn t installed properly. When I manually try to install them it fails complaining about an error in the INI-file.

Although similar to the W880i, the W890i has a much better design. It s thicker in size than its predecessor but still markedly thinner than most other phones. Because of its metal casing, it s also a tougher handset, but it s the overall quality feel of it that had us excited. Unlike many thin phones, the W890i is solid.
You don t feel like you have to protect it with your life and it can definitely take a few tumbles.

Sony Ericsson also has put much more thought into the user experience with the W890i, adding a larger screen that makes viewing pictures and Web pages on the phone much more enjoyable. The navigation keys follow a much better specification -- they re easier to press and the keys on the keypad are larger and have a better layout. One of the reasons we didn t give the W880i higher marks was due to its tiny rice-grain-like keys, but we re happy to report that the W890i instead features larger, albeit still small keys that are easy to press unless you have massive thumbs.
Our only issue with the W890i s design is the proprietary headphone jack that s on the left side of the phone, which aside from making the W890i awkward to pull out of your pocket when headphones are plugged in, it also means you can t plug standard 3.5mm headphones straight into the handset without an adaptor.
We were impressed by the W880i s features, so we were keen to see what Sony Ericsson could cram into the W890i. As a Walkman phone, its music features are very similar to the W880i s but with a few added extras. Uploading music is easy using the provided Media Manager software that lets you drag and drop music straight on to the phone using a simple software interface. Using Media Manager, you can categorise individual tracks by mood in the same way as you can on the Sony Ericsson W960i.
Once uploaded, you can create playlists, adjust the equaliser and control your music using the four-way navigation key that doubles up as individual play, pause, forward and rewind music keys. The pre-installed Walkman Player 3.0 app is intuitive and neither under-featured nor packed with too many frills.
It might look like tiny, but the W890i s keypad is a massive improvement on the W880i s
As we mentioned, you can listen to music using the provided headphones or by plugging your own pair in via the 3.5mm adaptor. If you re too cool for wires, you can use a pair of Bluetooth stereo headphones, but keep in mind using Bluetooth drains more battery power.
One of our pet peeves about the W880i was that its 2-megapixel camera wasn t fantastic. We re glad to see a better, 3.2-megapixel snapper on the W890i. Sadly, this upgraded camera still doesn t have a flash or LED photo light, so shots in low light don t come out well.
Still, what does work and is one of the most compelling reasons to buy the W890i is HSDPA 3.5G. Unlike the W880i that only had 3G, the W890i can surf the Web at a much faster speed than on EDGE or 3G-only phones.

Having downloaded an array of apps, including Google Maps for mobiles and Opera Mini 4, we were doing our Internet thing in no time at all. Our only word of advice is to keep an eye out on what data charges you re on. We recommend that if you love the Internet then go for a flat-rate data tariff.
Audio during calls is loud and clear without any noticeable distortions or muffling during calls. You re not going to get great sound quality from the loudspeaker when using it to listen to music, but it s alright. We re pleased to report that audio quality from the MP3 player using the provided headphones is good enough to replace your standalone music device, which is arguably the main selling point of a Sony Ericsson Walkman phone.
Its camera, however, isn t substantial enough to replace your dedicated snapper. Without a flash or LED photo light, your best bet would be to stick to daylight pictures. There s not an autofocus option either so close-up shots aren t clear.
The battery life is good, lasting for over two days with moderate to high use before needing recharge. Obviously, you ll use up more battery power if you use HSDPA and have a pair of stereo Bluetooth headphones connected to it on a regular basis.
The Sony Ericsson W890i will go down in the mobile phone history books as one of Sony Ericsson s best handsets ever. The combination of solid features with a solid, slim casing works a real treat.
Certainly, the W890i has its flaws -- the camera isn t perfect and could certainly do with a flash, and it would be good if the phone had Wi-Fi. For what it is, though, the handset performs really well. If you re after a more business-centric phone then there s the similarly featured Nokia E51. As Walkman phones go, we dare say this is the best one yet.

The word fag, or faggot, is the 4chan general insult for anything that Anonymous does not like, including himself. Contrary to popular belief, this meaning is exclusive to 4chan and does not necessarily imply a disdain for a non-mainstream sexual preference, though it can given the context, and by means of referring to those that like to take it up the ass metaphorically. By extension, faggotry is the science of acting like a faggot. Fag is frequently affixed to common words and memes to give them a negative connotation, though by 4chan standards it is only a mild insult when not paired up with other curse words. For example, a namefag is somebody using a name, while a fagfag is a smoker, a straightfag is straight and a homofag is a homo. It is uncommonly believed this use of fag followed moot and other former Goons from Something Awful, but this theory would likely be proven false.
The rarest way of identifying oneself on 4chan, emailfags are users who put their addresses in the email field rather than the typical sage or noko. The obvious disincentive to doing this is that emails are very easily spammed; thus, only dumb-as-fuck posters or those who use fake addresses become emailfags. Ironically, emailfags are more common on worksafe boards than /b/, the board that, at times, was Forced Anonymous. It was the most likely to spawn emailfags since the email field was basically the only way people could differentiate one another on /b/. If you go into Tools -- Options and deselect Restrict search to ASCII characters you can speed up the search dramatically,
but you ll need to change the encoding for the tripcode key to work. Open up Notepad and paste the tripcode key into a new document. Then go to Encoding- Character Sets- Japanese and select Shift-JIS. Highlight the tripcode key and then copy and paste into 4chan.

For 64-bit systems: follow the same instructions as above, but the files will have 64 after their names - amdcalcl64.dll for example. Same location as before.
Make sure that the 4 files are named properly and are in the same directory, and then modify the target.txt file located with this text file. Place any words you d like to find on separate lines. Regular expressions are supported.
Make sure all 5 files are in the same directory now, and then run either mty_cal_w32.exe or mty_cal_x64.exe depending on your version of windows is 32 or 64-bit. This has only been tested on Windows 7 with a Radeon 5870 and a 4850, and the creator of MTY is japanese and NOT ME. The official location for these binaries is at Sourceforge.
When you ve found your trips, open log.txt with Notepad and then go to Encoding- Character Sets- Japanese- Shift-JIS. Then copy and paste into 4chan.
